This session will provide an update an a variety of NIST Special Publications including SP 800-124 Rev. 1, Guidelines for Managing the Security of Mobile Devices in the Enterprise and NISTIR 8136, An Overview of Mobile Application Vetting Services for Public Safety.

Collaboration Session 4: Innovative Methods of Mobile Authentication

Users demand easy and secure options for mobile device and app authentication. There is active and ongoing research across industry and the government to identify new ways to leverage devices and sensors to quickly and securely authenticate users. This session will look at emerging concepts and approaches for mobile authentication, discuss implications to standards and policies, and provide recommendations to industry and standards bodies on how to improve the authentication experience without sacrificing security.
