Cybersecurity engineers from the NCCoE will be in attendance at the 2015 ICS Cybersecurity conference at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, GA. As the longest-running cyber security-focused conference for the industrial control systems sector, the event will cater to the energy, utility, chemical, transportation, manufacturing, and other industrial and critical infrastructure organizations.
National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence deputy director Nate Lesser will be speaking on a panel at FS-ISAC Fall Summit 2015: Intelligence Into Action. The conference will be held from 10/25 – 10/28/15 at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California.
Gavin O'Brien, computer scientist at the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, will be speaking at the 9the annual DoD/VA and Gov Health IT Summit in Alexandria, VA. Held since 2011, DSI’s Health IT Summits are a unique forum that allows for personnel from DoD, VA, Federal and State agencies to convene in one location along with leaders from Industry and Academia that support them.

Harry Perper, Principal Systems Engineer at the NCCoE, will be giving an overview of overview of the collaborative work being done to accelerate the adoption of secure technologies in the energy sector. As a part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), NCCoE security experts use standards, best practices, and commercially available technologies to demonstrate the real-world application of cybersecurity and publish their example solutions in NIST Cybersecurity Practice Guides (Special Publication series 1800).
