Harry Perper, Principal Systems Engineer at the NCCoE, will be giving an overview of overview of the collaborative work being done to accelerate the adoption of secure technologies in the energy sector. As a part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), NCCoE security experts use standards, best practices, and commercially available technologies to demonstrate the real-world application of cybersecurity and publish their example solutions in NIST Cybersecurity Practice Guides (Special Publication series 1800). The NCCoE recently published a Practice Guide focused on the Electric Utilities (https://nccoe.nist.gov/projects/use_cases/idam) addressing identity and access management.
