NCCoE Security Engineer Josh Franklin will present NIST's Mobile Security Best Practices & Guidelines at the 4th Annual Mobile Security for Defense and Government Summit in Arlington, VA at the AUSA Conference Center on June 7 from 9am to 9:40am. This presentation will explore breaking down the Mobile Threat Catalogue (MTC) and how to identify the greatest areas of need for protecting vulnerable mobile device networks; current NIST Guidelines for Mobile Device Management platforms; and moving towards a secure mobile enterprise.

MobileIron Live 2017

NCCoE security engineer Chris Brown will present at a roundtable discussion at MobileIron Live on Wednesday, May 10 from 3:30p.m. to 5p.m. In this session, he will demonstrate how derived PIV credentials can be added to mobile devices for remote authentication to information technology systems in operational environments while meeting information security policy guidelines.

PSCR Public Safety Broadband Stakeholder Meeting

Monday, June 12, 2017 to Wednesday, June 14, 2017

On June 12-14, 2017, NIST’s Public Safety Communications Research Division (PSCR) will host its annual Public Safety Broadband Stakeholder Meeting, which brings together representatives from public safety, Federal agencies, industry, and academia. Participants will hear from PSCR engineers about testing updates, upcoming R&D efforts, and opportunities to get involved. PSCR will also invite industry leaders and public safety partners to present on cutting-edge technology trends, features, and functionalities. The annual Stakeholder Meeting enables PSCR to receive direct input, guidance, and feedback from their diverse stakeholder community. NCCoE Security Engineer William Fisher will provide a project overview, architecture presentation, and demonstration of the NCCoE's Mobile Application Single Sign-On project. 2017 CISO Leadership Summit

IBM Center for the Business of Government, GWU Center for Cyber and Homeland Security (CCHS) and NIST are partnering to host a CISO Leadership Summit on May 3, 2017 from 8am to 12:45pm at the IBM Center for the Business of Government in Washington, DC. The Summit is designed to bring federal and commercial CISOs, as well as the cybersecurity senior practitioners in academia, standards and research organizations together to have open dialogue on their challenges, lessons learned, best practices and innovation. The participating CISOs will gain insights from their peers’ practice experiences and techniques to overcome challenges.

The NCCoE will be attending this event. IBM is an National Cybersecurity Excellence Partner. 

Cloud Identity Summit 2017

Monday, June 19, 2017 to Thursday, June 22, 2017

NCCoE security engineer Bill Fisher will be presenting a session on NCCoE projects on June 19 from 9am to 12pm at the Cloud Identity Summit. Presentations will include overviews of the Mobile Application Single Sign-On project and the Multifactor Authentication for e-Commerce project. NCCoE security engineer Christopher Brown will present a deeper dive on the NCCoE's Derived PIV Credentials project on June 22 at 11:15am. The summit brings together the best of industry and enterprise presenters and experts to share insights and to synthesize new ideas. The summit will be held from June 19-22 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago in Chicago, Il.
